CCBH ShinHan Markers Blog Hop

Welcome to our April Cross Canada Blog Hop featuring the Close to my Heart ShinHan Touch Twin Alcohol Markers. These markers are available in 24 beautiful colours plus a blending marker.
We have an amazing group of talented ladies from all across Canada and they sure would love to hear from you. Before hopping on to the next person's blog, please take a moment to leave a comment about our projects.
If you have arrived from Brandy's blog, you are in the right place. If you would like to start on the east coast and travel across the country to the west coast, then start with Michelle in Nova Scotia.
I really like colouring with our ShinHan markers. The colours blend so well so you can add dimension and highlights to your image. I created a set of four cards using the Hello Lovely paper pack and the design Collage on page 97 of the Wishes Card Making Confidence How-To book from Close to my Heart. I embossed the Bamboo cardstock for the background with the Woodgrain embossing folder and the New England Ivy square with the Dots folder and my Cuttlebug. The White and Gold Ribbon (Z8139) gives direction to the cards, since two are portrait and two are landscape.

I stamped the image from the Adore You January Stamp of the Month (S1701) with New England Ivy Pigment Ink and then heat embossed it with Silver Pearl Embossing Powder (discontinued). This gave the outline a greenish-grey appearance which I really like. I coloured the image and fussy cut it to leave a very thin outline of white around the image itself. I then used the Gold and Clear Glimmer Pens to add some shimmer to the center of the flowers and the petals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Adore You stamp set inside the cards with Dessert Sand ink and the small heart is in New England Ivy.
Thanks for hopping along with us this month! We hope we were able to inspire to get creative using some of the designs, products, or techniques you have seen along the way. We hope you will join us next month when we will be featuring creations using our favourite NEW paper collection. Yes! We have new paper collections coming soon! So mark May 15 on your calendar and hop along with us again!
Your next stop on this hop is Nancy in Southern Alberta! If you get lost along the way, just return to Michelle where you will find the complete list of hoppers.
If you would like to purchase any of the items you see while hopping through, please contact your local Close to my Heart consultant for more information.

  1. Beautiful shading on these flowers, Janet. I love that you used the Silver Pearl embossing powder--gives a no-line look to the coloured images. Love all the texture on your cards, too.
